<p>The Rail Tram and Bus Union (RTBU) has called on New South Wales premier Bob Carr to introduce random alcohol and drug testing on state politicians.</p> <p>"Our union is outraged that decent hard working rail workers are subject to such testing and the politicians that draft and vote on crucial safety pieces of legislation are not subject to the same testing regime," the union said.</p> <p>Recent events in the NSW Legislative Assembly have illustrated the need for politicians to fall into line with community standards, the RTBU said. </p> <br />
