<p>The public inquiry into the fatal Waterfall passenger train crash has been postponed until after the New South Wales electon.</p> <p>Fomer Supreme Court judge Peter McInerney, who is heading the inquiry, said the hearings will resume on April 1 because of the investigative requirements.</p> <p>He warned against speculation on the cause of the crash, in which seven passengers died and dozens were injured on January 31, and said the issues involved in the investigation are "very complex".</p> <br />
