<p>Police and Pacific National are investigating the cause of yesterday’s (Tuesday, December 7) collision between a PN train and a council grader at a level-crossing in Victoria.</p> <p>The northbound Pacific National train collided with the Great Shepparton City Council grader at Murchison East about 9.15 am, a Pacific National spokesman said.</p> <p>The driver of the grader was taken to Goulbourn Valley Base Hospital suffering minor cuts to the head.</p> <p>"He was pretty lucky," the spokesman said.</p> <p>The 271-metre-long 244-tonne train – a Goulburn Valley freighter – remained on the tracks and its drivers were uninjured.</p> <p>The train sustained damage to its "cow catcher" and a brake pipe. </p> <br />
