Vic passenger train strikes car on tracks

<p>About 100 passengers escaped uninjured when the train they were travelling in struck a car at a disused crossing in Melbourne’s north yesterday (Wednesday, May 25) evening.</p> <p>The car, which was empty at the time of impact, was pushed about 500 metres along the tracks in Somerton before the train stopped.</p> <p>It is believed the car became stuck on the tracks when it attempted to use the former level crossing.</p> <p>Victorian police are interviewing the car’s driver &#8211 a man in his 20s, the ABC reported.</p> <br />
