V/Line services have been suspended across three train lines today, Monday January 12, as crews assess and repair damage from bushfires in Victoria’s north.
No trains will run on the Bendigo, Swan Hill and Echuca lines today and passengers are advised to avoid unnecessary travel.
A limited coach replacement service will operate between Sunbury and Castlemaine on the Bendigo Line, with passengers are advised to catch a Metro Trains service between Sunbury and the city.
Due to a planned works on the metropolitan network, services after 8pm will operate to Southern Cross.
On the Swan Hill Line, a limited number of replacement coaches will run between Swan Hill and Southern Cross, stopping at Kerang and Pyramid only, then running express to Southern Cross.
No replacement coaches will be running for the Echuca line.
Scheduled coaches connecting to stations on the lines that are still operating will not connect to a train or replacement service.
V/Line has warned that coach services may be cancelled at short notice or may not service select stops due to road closures or emergency services requests.
Coach replacement services are unable to be sourced for Bendigo and Echuca passengers for Tuesday January 13 due to uncertain road conditions and coach and driver availability.
