<p>United Goninan has secured a contract to build another 360 wagons for BHP Billiton’s iron ore operations, the <em>Australian</em> has reported.</p> <p>United Group managing director Richard Leupen said the organisation hopes China’s ravenous appetite for steel will generate further demand for rail wagons in Australia, the paper said.</p> <p>"The fact that China has such big demand for steel has meant we are watching the iron ore industry growing at a dramatic rate right now and projecting further growth," Mr Leupen said.</p> <p>"When they grow their iron ore export capability, they have to transport the iron ore."</p> <p>United’s rail subsidiary, United Goninan, is expected to deliver the new wagons to BHP Billiton in the first half of this year. </p> <br />
