<p>A truck driver has died after a collision between a light truck and a passenger train at a level crossing on the Mornington Peninsula, 60 km southeast of Melbourne about 10.30 this morning (Wednesday, August 22).</p> <p>Ambulance crews were examining about 40 passengers who were on the train at the time.</p> <p>The collision, at Bungower Road at Somerville, forced the suspension of passenger services.</p> <p>The crossing is fitted with flashing lights and warning bells, but it was unclear if it had boom gates.</p> <p>The Office of the Chief Investigator will investigate the crash, which is the fourth fatal level crossing crash in Victoria since May last year. </p> <br />
