Truck driver charged after rig collides with cattle train

<p>Queensland Rail has re-opened a section of track near the Central Queensland town of Barcaldine blocked by a level crossing crash on Saturday morning (September 15).</p> <p>A truck and an empty cattle train collided near the town, about 670 km west of Gladstone, damaging the track and derailing two locomotives and four wagons.</p> <p>The truck driver, who was not injured, was later charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.</p> <p>The two train drivers sustained minor injuries in the crash, which occurred at a crossing fitted with give way signs but not boom gates or flashing lights. </p> <br />
