<p>The Australasian Railway Association is hosting a tribute dinner for West Coast Railway co-owner Gary McDonald, who was recently diagnosed with cancer.</p> <p>The dinner, this Thursday (November 21), is a chance for the transport industry to lend support to Mr McDonald during his illness.</p> <p>The Geelong-based operator was Victoria’s first privatised passenger rail service, linking Melbourne and Warrnambool.</p> <p>The dinner will be held at the Rialto Hotel’s Le Meridien restaurant, 495 Collins Street, Melbourne and costs $80 a head.</p> <p>Pre-dinner drinks start at 6.30 pm.</p> <p>For bookings contact the ARA Secretariat on (03) 9614 5162. </p> <br />
