<p>Tranz Rail is joining forces with police, government and bureaucracy to improve level crossing safety in New Zealand.</p> <p>The Level Crossing Safety Forum is based on a model used overseas to tackle level crossing safety.</p> <p>Tranz Rail’s general manager health, safety and environment Jeff Weber said: "The forum will focus on the three Es – education, engineering and enforcement – to improve New Zealand’s safety record in this area.</p> <p>"The forum concept is an ideal way to capture both the expertise and funding available to all these organisations and apply them through one organisation."</p> <br />
