NSW Police will engage in a three day, high visibility operation on the public transport network at Nowra on the state’s south coast.
Police Transport Command on Wednesday said Operation PTC Explorer would target crime and anti-social behaviour from Friday, October 26 to Sunday, October 28.
Officers from the Police Transport and Public Safety Command South/SouthWest Sector will travel to Nowra, which is within the South Coast Police District, via the rail network.
At Nowra they will patrol local transport hubs as well as providing operational support to South Coast Police during the Shoalhaven River Festival.
Both uniformed and plain-clothed officers will take part in the operation.
NSW Police said officers would target antisocial behaviour, drug offences, violent crime and property theft on public transport and surrounds.
