<p>Toll New Zealand has confirmed it is chartering a passenger ferry from Sweden’s Stena RoRo to ply the route across Cook Strait.</p> <p>In March, Toll said it was planning to revamp its ferry fleet and discontinue the <em>Lynx </em> fast ferry service.</p> <p>The 1,600 passenger <em>Stena Challenger</em> will arrive in New Zealand in August, before the peak summer season.</p> <p>According to New Zealand Radio, Toll NZ will pay a charter fee and an annual management fee of NZ$1.15m for the initial five years of the lease, with the option to extend it for three more years.</p> <p>Toll’s Australian parent, Toll Holdings, is guaranteeing the lease for the <em>Stena Challenger</em> , which is valued at NZ$110m.</p> <br />
