Teekay boosts offshore business team in Perth

<p>Teekay Shipping has bolstered its position in the Western Australian offshore sector, creating a new senior post to head up its operations there. </p> <p>Noel Lacey has been appointed director, marine and offshore services, based in the tanker company’s Perth office. </p> <p>Mr Lacey will act as fleet director for the company’s two floating storage and offloading units on the Northwest Shelf, Karratha and Dampier Spirit. </p> <p>He will also support Peter Webb, vice president business development at Teekay Gas and Offshore in Perth, in developing existing customer relationships. </p> <p>Managing director of Teekay Shipping (Australia) Dermot Loughnane said that the WA business was growing, with a focus on services such as FSO project feasibility and marine consultancy work, as well as ship management. </p> <p>Mr Lacey has been with Teekay and its predecessor Caltex tanker operation in Australia for 25 years. </p> <p>He will also work closely with Roger Lowe, director of business development in Sydney, in developing the range of marine services in WA.</p> <p>Teekay’s offshore group in Perth includes five other operations and safety staff. </p> <br />
