Talks on options for Kalgoorlie-Boulder realignment

<p>The Western Australian Government has begun community consultation over possible realignment of the rail system in Kalgoorlie-Boulder.</p> <p>An information brochure has been distributed to all homes and businesses.</p> <p>Three months are allowed for consultation.</p> <p>The realignment proposal has three options:</p> <p>&#8226 Leaving the line as it is </p> <p>&#8226 Partially realigning it to follow the future north-west bypass road or </p> <p>&#8226 Undertaking a complete realignment.</p> <p>Partial realignment will redirect most rail traffic around Kalgoorlie and a complete realignment will take all trains out of the city.</p> <p>During the consultation, a business case study will cost each of the options.</p> <br />
