<p>Great Southern Railways chief executive Stephen Bradford will be the new chief executive of the Port of Melbourne Corporation.</p> <p>Mr Bradford, who is also chairman of the Australasian Railways Association and managing director of Serco Transport, will take up his new appointment in January.</p> <p>Previously, he has held senior positions with MSS Security, Sigma, National Terminals and ANL.</p> <p>Welcoming the appointment, the corporation’s executive chairman, Neil Edwards, said the board is confident the experience Mr Bradford brings from the freight transport industry, from both the maritime and land sides, will be invaluable for the development of the port.</p> <p>Mr Bradford replaces Chris Whitaker who left the post in July. </p> <br />
