<p>Tranz Rail has launched a new overnight sprint freight service from Palmerston North to Auckland.</p> <p>The rail operator said the service has already attracted bookings for 50% of the space, with keen interest from freight forwarders and manufacturers.</p> <p>The service leaves Palmerston North just after 9 pm and arrives in Auckland before 7 the next morning.</p> <p>Tranz Rail said the service will reduce the number of trucks on the road. </p> <br />
