<p>The east-west rail line re-opened at 9 pm on Friday after a four-day shutdown of the Port Augusta-Kalgoolie section caused by a derailment of near Mount Christie in South Australia.</p> <p>Investigations are continuing into the incident which saw 12 wagons from the westbound SCT freight train derail just before a passing loop between Tarcoola and Cook on Monday.</p> <p>About 2.5 km of track was damaged as a result of the incident, cancelling about 40 freight services and the Indian Pacific passenger train. </p> <br />
