School-based training program awards 17 students with national qualification

<p>Seventeen students from Strathfield South High School in New South Wales were awarded a Certificate I in Transport &#38 Distribution (Administration) after taking part in the Toll Virtual training project.</p> <p>The school-based interactive project was funded by the Department of Education, Science and Training and facilitated by the Transport and Logistics Industry Skills Council.</p> <p>Students attended training sessions in their own time for 12 months, working with mentors from Toll Auto Logistics.</p> <p>Registered training organisation My Freight Career awarded the students with the national qualification.</p> <p>The program involved students learning and participating in all facets of running a transport company, including writing company policies and procedures, occupational health and safety, online trading, customer service, marketing and product distribution and storage. </p> <br />
