<p>Upgrade work on the Rockdale railway station in Sydney officially started last month.</p> <p>The $14.2m project includes extension of the railway concourse, installation of easy access lifts, a new bus interchange and construction of a 126-space car park.</p> <p>Transport minister Carl Scully said: “The Rockdale upgrade will make catching public transport easier for older people, people with disabilities and those with young children.”</p> <p>Work is due for completion in early 2003.</p> <br />
