<span class="" id="parent-fieldname-description"> A research team has been awarded a CQ University 2013 Opal Award for their innovative research on SPADS (Signal Passed at Danger) which has directly resulted in reduced SPAD numbers and related issues. </span> <div>The team, led by Dr Anjum Naweed, thought outside the box to design a novel, participative and cost-effective framework to improve rail network safety.
