New Zealand’s rail industry leaders will converge on Auckland in two weeks to hear the latest innovations, share ideas and connect at the Australasian Railway Association’s major networking event of the year.
Representatives from KiwiRail, Martinus, Downer, Auckland One Rail, Systra, ANZ, John Holland, Siemens, TransDev and Frauscher, who are the platinum sponsors, are among the rail organisations set to attend the ARA’s long-awaited Rail Industry Networking Dinner on June 20, which is close to selling out.
ARA chief executive officer Caroline Wilkie said it was a really exciting time for the organisation to be in New Zealand.
“The ARA will be meeting with industry representatives to hear their agenda and how we can work together with government to support a thriving and sustainable rail sector,” she said.
“The ARA is the peak body for Australia and NZ rail and we look forward to working with government and industry to map out future priorities in areas such as workforce, safety, sustainability and decarbonisation.

Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency chief executive Nicole Rosie will deliver the keynote address.
Rosie has a 20-year executive career across the public and private sector, with extensive experience in transformative change, high-risk regulated industries and in health and safety. Her former leadership roles include Toll NZ, KiwiRail, Vector, Fonterra and three years as chief executive of Worksafe.
She currently holds several governance roles, including Director of Auckland Transport and The Establishment Unit for Light Rail Auckland, and is a steering committee member of the New Zealand Construction Accord and Let’s Get Wellington Moving.
