Rail freight takes a hit in SA

<span class="" id="parent-fieldname-description"> Freight tonnages have taken a hit in South Australia with the sudden cessation of two major traffic flows in the last week serving local industry and the export iron ore market. </span> <p><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre">By Mark Carter</span></p><div>SCT Logistics subsidiary Specialised Bulk Rail (SBR) has been hit hardest by the failure of iron ore exporter Termite Resources which operated the Cairn Hill joint venture (JV) and has been placed in administration following a loss of $1.4m in the March quarter based on falling iron ore prices. &nbsp
