<p>Queensland Rail welcomed the addition of a chief marketing officer today, in what it said was an attempt to bolster the state-owned rail provider’s management structure.</p> <p>Lindsay Woodland was the first to hold the position that was created to direct QR’s strategic business development, a statement said.</p> <p>QR’s chief executive Lance Hockridge said the appointment significantly boosted the company’s management capability.</p> <p>“It clearly demonstrates our determination to sharpen QR’s customer focus and competitive edge as we pursue our vision of becoming the leader in the transport and logistics market,” Mr Hockridge said. </p> <p>“Lindsay will also review QR’s approach to brand strategy, which I know is an area he is passionate about.”</p> <br />
