<p>The Victorian Government has awarded service relocation contracts as a prelude to the construction of the Wodonga rail bypass.</p> <p>Contract Control Builders will relocate water, sewage and other services that need to be moved before work on the bypass can begin.</p> <p>The Wodonga rail bypass will be a joint Victorian and Federal Government project.</p> <p>The State Government and Wodonga City Council had already reached an in-principle agreement with Pacific National and the Australian Rail Track Corporation to build the bypass independently of the rail gauge standardisation, the government said.</p> <p>The project aimed to move the rail track out of the city centre and increase the efficiency of transport and freight connections for businesses and regional rural producers, it said.</p> <br />
