<p>Pacific National has started an investigation into how a V/Line passenger train struck some of its track maintenance equipment in Victoria late last week.</p> <p>A Pacific National spokesman said the incident occurred when the 12.25 pm Albury-Melbourne service was passing through Glenrowan on Friday (October 22).</p> <p>The passenger train had "crashed into some maintenance trolleys" at low speed, the spokesman said.</p> <p>No-one was injured in the accident but the V/line locomotive sustained some minor damage.</p> <p>The company is not sure how the four "wheelbarrow-sized" trolleys, used by track maintenance contractors to carry equipment, came to be left along the track, he said.</p> <p>The track is part of the business Pacific National inherited when it purchased Freight Australia.</p> <p>Pacific National will complete a report on the incident for the safety regulator, the spokesman said. </p> <br />
