Heavy rain and flooding continue to affect parts of the Queensland Rail network as Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred progresses further inland.
Some lines remain closed, while the following lines are running a modified Sunday timetable from Monday March 10:
- Sunshine Coast line open Central to Northgate
- Ferny Grove line open Central to Ferny Grove
- Airport line open Central to Airport
- Beenleigh line open Central to Kuraby
- Springfield line open Central to Springfield Central

Images shared by Queensland Rail and the office of Logan City Council Mayor Jon Raven show storm damage and flooding at several locations.
An aerial image of Beenleigh Station shows the main area of the car park totally submerged in water, with Nerang Station also flooded.
Queensland Rail crews are currently carrying out assessments and critical repairs where it is safe to do so.
There is significant damage to overhead line equipment and debris that needs to be cleared, particularly on the Gold Coast, Cleveland and Sunshine Coast lines.
Inspections are covering 152 stations, 850 kilometres of track, and just over 900 kilometres of high voltage, electrified overhead line equipment and signalling.
A statement from Queensland Rail said: “Our crews are working tirelessly to get the network back on track.
“We have kept our customers moving with trains running at a reduced timetable.
“Some lines remain closed due to the impacts of this extreme weather system.
“Safety remains our top priority, and we’ll keep you updated every step of the way.”
