<p>Pacific National has formed a working party to discuss a recommendation to close its maintenance depot at Lithgow.</p> <p>Management, employees and unions will look at the ramifications of the closure, which has been recommended in a review of Pacific National’s maintenance operations.</p> <p>The working party will start discussions this week and will focus on the options open to the employees at the depot.</p> <p>Employees will have the choice of alternative work, re-deployment or voluntary redundancy.</p> <p>Pacific National wants to concentrate its maintenance operations closer to its busiest lines at depots near Newcastle and Port Kembla.</p> <br />
