<p>Toll, Patrick and National Rail’s east-west operations will be amalgamated into one service this weekend.</p> <p>This is the first major initiative for Pacific National as it strives to optimise synergies that exist between all its rail companies.</p> <p>From Sunday (April 27), the east-west operations of Toll Rail and Patrick Rail will be rolled into National Rail’s Melbourne-Adelaide-Perth service.</p> <p>This will involve the transfer of terminal activities from Toll Rail into National Rail terminals and the amalgamation of Toll, Patrick and National Rail rollingstock.</p> <p>Some Freight Corp and National Rail services on the east coast will also be combined.</p> <br />
