The board of Pacific National was due to resume today (Monday, February 27) after adjourning on Friday evening (February 24) after five-and-a-half hours of talks.

The meeting is understood to have reached some of the first agreements since the relationship between partners Toll Holdings and Patrick Corp collapsed last year, including some capital expenditure items and a timetable for dealing with the Pacific National business in Tasmania.

However, there was no movement on how the rail operator would negotiate a new access deal to Brisbane’s crucial Acacia Ridge terminal, where Pacific National has until May to get a new deal in place.

The last agenda item for today is Patrick’s motion for an orderly wind-up of the joint venture, certain to be vetoed by the Pacific National members of the board.
