<p>Whyalla’s capesize export capability will get a 10-year, 6m tonne iron ore workout starting on July 1 after OneSteel said today (Monday, May 21) it had signed a sales agreement with China’s Shanxi Haixin Iron & Steel Group.</p> <p>“The signing of this long-term iron ore contract consolidates OneSteel’s position as a significant exporter of iron ore,” managing director and chief executive Geoff Plummer said</p> <p>The hematite deal represents the second long-term contract to be signed for the iron ore exports from OneSteel’s Project Magnet in South Australia’s South Middleback Ranges.</p> <p>OneSteel will arrange a provide shipping.</p> <p>Three capesizes had been loaded since the Whyalla facility come onstream in April, the company said</p> <br />
