NZ investigation into Tranz Rail share trading nearly complete

<p>New Zealand’s Securities Commission is expected to complete its inquiries shortly into possible insider trading over the sale of Tranz Rail shares in 2002.</p> <p>The commission is looking at the selldown of stakes held by Fay Richwhite interests, Canadian National railways and Berkshire Partners. </p> <p>The inquiry has continued for more than a year, with Tranz Rail now under the control of new owner Toll Holdings.</p> <p>Toll has said it is cooperating with the investigation. </p> <br />
