<p>Northern Territory Worksafe said the trial shipments of yellowcake uranium ore from South Australia to Darwin by rail operator FreightLink and Swire Shipping are likely to continue.</p> <p>NT Worksafe spokesperson Mark Crossin told the <em>ABC</em> that two trial shipments had arrived in Darwin in past fortnight without incident.</p> <p>NT WorkSafe is the administrative and regulatory arm of the NT Work Health Authority.</p> <p>Mr Crossin said WMC Rescources will probably ask to make it a permanent arrangement.</p> <p>The shipments are going from the company’s Olympic Dam and Beverley mines at Roxby Downs in SA to North America.</p> <p>WMC has approval for a three-month trial, which would involve shipping 20 containers of ore through Darwin.</p> <p>WMC already ships uranium ore through Adelaide and is seeking the flexibility of having a second port available for the controversial trade.</p> <br />
