<p>Victoria’s regional fast trains will not travel at the planned speeds of 160 km/h until 2006, it was claimed.</p> <p>A spokeswoman for state transport minister Peter Batchelor said the trains would not travel at their intended speeds until a new train protection warning system was installed, geelonginfo.com.au reported.</p> <p>The system will not be installed until January 1 2006.</p> <p>Until then new timetables will be worked out, she said. </p> <br />
