Movember makeover for Adelaide trams

Twenty Adelaide Metro trams and buses – and four marine safety boats – are sporting mos throughout Movember, in support of men’s health.

The Department for Infrastructure and Transport has teamed up with the Movember Foundation for the initiative, to raise awareness for the cause and prompt South Australians to ask ‘where’s the mo?’

The well-groomed trams, dapper buses and vessels have had a furry facelift and people who spot them are being asked to post a photo of them to social media with the hashtag #AdelaideMetMo or #MarineMo.

The Movember campaign is a leading charity changing the face of men’s health by tackling prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention through various fundraising initiatives.

Since 2003, the Movember movement has spread around the globe and has funded more than 1250 men’s health projects. It encourages people to reach out to their mates and ask them how they are travelling and really listen to them.

The Department’s Movember partnership began in 2018 with one moustache on a tram and continues to grow with each whisker of support from the public, this year introducing marine mos.
