<p>New South Wales CityRail will recruit another 192 trainee drivers under an accelerated recruitment plan to counter driver shortages, premier Bob Carr said.</p> <p>The new recruits will join the 190 already in training, as CityRail attempts to lift overall driver numbers from the present 1,231 to 1,350.</p> <p>The latest crop will be ready to drive on the network by January 2006 "at the latest", Mr Car said.</p> <p>A review to accelerate the training program is currently underway.</p> <br />
