<span class="" id="parent-fieldname-description"> The passing of the mining boomâs peak may have helped ease skill shortages in certain areas of the rail sector, but the projected growth in rail freight and passenger transport will continue to see ongoing demand for skilled workers, reports the Transport and Logistics Industry Skills Council (TLISC). </span> <div>TLISC’s 2014 Transport and Logistics Environmental Scan (E-Scan) forecasts a 1.9% a year employment growth rate for Rail from 2013-17, which among other key occupations, sees demand for up to 4100 new train/tram driver roles across that period.
