Metro Trains Sydney has appointed Oliver Bratton is its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Bratton was previously CEO of the Tunnelbanan, the metro trains network in Stockholm, Sweden, and has also held senior roles at Network Rail and MTR Corporation, where he was involved in the launch of the Elizabeth Line in London.
Metro Trains Sydney said in a statement: “Oliver brings decades of experience improving rail safety, reliability, and customer experience across some of the world’s most complex transport networks.
“His leadership has consistently delivered safer journeys, on-time performance, and innovations that make public transport more dependable for communities.
“His expertise in operational excellence and technology-driven improvements will help us keep Sydney moving safely and efficiently.”
The organisation added that Bratton’s appointment strengthens its commitment to delivering “world-class” metro services and preparing for the opening of the Southwest line late next year.
