<p>McLaughlin Freight Lines has bought SPB Transport for an undisclosed sum, McLaughlin revealed yesterday (Wednesday, December 6).</p> <p>Poultry industry transporter SPB’s 25-truck fleet joins McLaughlin’s 42-truck tanker and refrigeration operation, which has depots in major eastern seaboard cities and in Griffith.</p> <p>“Founder of SPB Simon Bartter is an executive director at Australia’s second largest poultry producer, Bartter Enterprises, and sold the business to focus on the growth of the family company,” Victorian firm McLaughlin said. </p> <p> “McLaughlin Freight Lines have held a contract as a major feed cartage transporter for Bartter for a number of years, providing them with the experience and knowledge to continue servicing this industry with its expanded fleet.”</p> <br />
