Martinus has been awarded a place on the Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) track resurfacing panel, marking a significant milestone for the company’s Plant team.
This five-year agreement positions Martinus as one of a select group of suppliers approved to deliver track resurfacing services across ARTC’s 8,500km freight and passenger rail network.
The win represents a major achievement for Martinus, expanding its plant fleet operations beyond internal projects and into direct client service for ARTC, one of Australia’s most critical rail infrastructure owners. The appointment comes at a pivotal time, as ARTC has committed over $1 billion to network resilience and reliability improvements in the coming years.
Martinus’ tamping fleet will play a key role in maintaining and improving ARTC’s rail corridors, with initial operations focusing on Forbes and Maitland in NSW, before expanding to Victoria, South Australia, and Western Australia. To support this growth, Martinus will be establishing local staff and plant operations in these regions.
General Manager of Growth, Toby Briggs, praised the Plant team’s determination in securing the contract:
“It’s no easy feat getting onto these panels, and this win is a massive milestone,” he said.
“We’ve always aimed to have our plant fleet supporting not only Martinus projects but also our clients, and now we’re delivering for ARTC, our biggest client yet.”
With this win, Martinus continues to solidify its reputation as a leader in rail infrastructure and plant services, reinforcing its long-term growth strategy across Australia.
