Major works rolled out on Hunter Valley Rail corridor

<span class="" id="parent-fieldname-description"> The Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) has rolled out significant upgrades to the Hunter Valley Rail Corridor. </span> <p>88 individual projects were carried out last week in one of the largest closedowns ever undertaken in the Hunter Valley.<br />ARTC acting chief executive Andrew Bishop said the possession was part of ARTC’s strategy to further develop capacity on the Hunter Valley Coal lines.<br />“This … possession [allowed] ARTC to implement valuable upgrades and preparations for major capital works that are planned for the future as part of the ongoing development of the Hunter Valley Rail Corridor,” Bishop said.<br />Works undertaken included: standard rail and turnout resurfacing rail grinding bridge maintenance ballast cleaning and signal upgrades and maintenance.<br />&nbsp</p>
