<p>Construction on the Workshops Rail Museum in Ipswich, Queensland is on target for a mid-year opening.</p> <p>The $20m international standard railway museum and technology facility will become a campus of the Queensland Museum.</p> <p>It will celebrate railways and their builders.</p> <p>The workshops at North Ipswich rail yards are the oldest operating rail workshops in Australia.</p> <p>Work has now started inside the buildings on the exhibitions and displays.</p> <p>Over 3,000 former and present workshop employees will be invited to a reunion coinciding with the opening.</p> <br />
