IPART to hold public meeting on Port Botany operational issues

<p>Stakeholders involved in the New South Wales Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal’s (IPART) review of the interface between the land transport industries and the stevedores at Port Botany, will meet at a public hearing next Wednesday, July 18.</p> <p>The tribunal members for the review &#8211 chairman Michael Keating AC, James Cox and Sibylle Krieger &#8211 will be present at the meeting.</p> <p>Having reviewed 21 submissions put forward by stakeholders involved in operations at Port Botany, the tribunal will discuss a list of issues raised surrounding supply chain efficiency at the port. </p> <p>The list of issues would be made publicly available tomorrow or Monday (July 23), an IPART spokeswoman said today.</p> <p>After the public hearing, the tribunal members would draft a report, scheduled to be submitted to ports minister Joe Tripodi in September.</p> <p>The report would then be released for comment, she said, before IPART making its final recommendations.</p> <p>IPART and stakeholders will meet next Wednesday at the Mint, 10 Macquarie Street, Sydney, between 9.30 am and 1.30 pm.</p> <br />
