More than a thousand people recently had the chance to see first-hand how work is progressing at the future Arden Station in North Melbourne, set to open in 2025.
Visitors had the opportunity to walk through a section of the project’s nine-kilometre twin tunnels before crews start laying 40 kilometres of track in the coming months.
They also got a unique insight into the complexity of building this massive infrastructure project, being among the first to stand under the huge brick arches that will be a new landmark for the future Arden precinct.
Tickets for this event were limited and sold out very quickly. Numbers were limited for safety reasons and to ensure work on the Metro Tunnel could proceed smoothly.
