Train services will once again be operating on the inner Armadale Line in Western Australia, following some works finishing on the level crossing removal project.
Some services will resume from Sunday, 8 June with special event services and regular services commencing Monday, 9 June.
Parking and drop-off bays are currently unavailable at Cannington and Oats Street stations as construction continues in the station precincts.
Work will progress on these precincts over the coming weeks, with amenities becoming available as they are completed.
The METRONET Level Crossing Removal project will remove up to seven vehicle level crossings on the Armadale Line.
So far, six level crossings have been removed along the line by raising the rail over the road at Mint and Archer streets, Oats Street, Welshpool Road, Hamilton Street, Wharf Street and William Street.
New elevated stations are being built at Carlisle, Oats Street, Queens Park, Cannington and Beckenham stations. Welshpool Station has closed permanently.
The Armadale/Thornlie Line is shut between Victoria Park and Armadale/Thornlie stations until mid-2025 to enable these works.
For detailed information regarding which stations are open, METRONET advises passengers to check the website.
The project has been jointly funded by the Western Australian and Commonwealth governments.
