Inland Rail is making progress in Euroa, Victoria with the removal of Anderson Street bridge to make way for a new vehicle underpass.
Euroa Station Precinct is being transformed to allow for sufficient clearance for double-stacked freight trains.
Inland Rail’s construction partner John Holland began deconstructing the bridge in late May.
Other works underway at Euroa include the relocation of the east track to form a new west track, the creation of a new platform, building and upgrading car parks, and improving platform access with new lifts, ramps and stairs.
Pedestrian connections are also being enhanced across the rail corridor and the station, with new open station forecourt, pathways, ramps, and stairs.
Inland Rail is a 1600 kilometre freight rail backbone connecting Melbourne and Brisbane, that aims to ensure everyday products can be delivered faster and more reliably.
