<p>Signalling at the Moss Vale major rail junction south of Sydney is now controlled from the southern New South Wales town of Junee, after the completion of work by the Australian Rail Track Corporation yesterday (Wednesday, August 29).</p> <p>Moss Vale, 120 km southwest of Sydney, is the point where the main north-south line between Sydney and Melbourne connects to the east with track from Wollongong. </p> <p>The junction is the busiest in southern NSW, with over 100 train movements a day.</p> <p> The control centre at Junee will handle these, replacing he work replaces the 100-year old manual signalling system.</p> <p>The ARTC is spending $500m upgrading the rail between Melbourne and Sydney.</p> <br />
