<p>The Federal Government has allocated a 15,000-tonne discretionary US beef quota to eligible exporters.</p> <p>The discretionary pool is part of Australia’s 378,214-tonne US beef quota. Eligible exporters must show that they have been disadvantaged by a change to the quota allocation system that became effective this year.</p> <p>The Department of Agriculture’s quota management panel received 26 applications covering 34,000 tonnes. </p> <br />
