<p>Geelong’s waterfront and railway station are set for a facelift under a masterplan to incorporate a rich transport hub and a spectacular bay frontage.</p> <p>Victorian premier Steve Bracks said: "Efficient transport links will also be a key feature of any new waterfront development."</p> <p>"Those links are essential to Geelong, as the area is a key public transport hub for people living in regional Victoria, and is essential to daily commuters to Melbourne.</p> <p>"The new fast rail will increase patronage, and encourage more people, including students, to travel from metropolitan Melbourne to Geelong.</p> <p>Public feedback on the draft plans in due October 21 and plans are available at www.doi.vic.gov.au/transcities</p> <br />
