Freight Australia wins NSW grain job

<p>Victorian-based rail operator Freight Australia has won its third major contract in New South Wales in recent months.</p> <p>The new contract with Weston Milling &#8211 a division of George Weston Foods &#8211 follows the announcement of new contracts with Shell and Nestle Purina.</p> <p>Freight Australia will transport grain from regional NSW to Weston’s mill at Enfield in Sydney’s west.</p> <p>Two or three dedicated trains will rail around 1,000 tonnes of grain a week.</p> <p>Freight Australia chief executive Marinus van Onselen said the Weston’s grain contract was previously held by FreightCorp and Austrac.</p> <p>Freight Australia provided a temporary service for Weston’s when Austrac stopped operations earlier this year, which led to the awarding of the long-term contract, Mr van Onselen said. </p> <br />
