Freight Australia starts daily Melbourne-Sydney service

<p>Freight Australia has introduced a daily intermodal rail service between Melbourne and Sydney.</p> <p>The service departs both cities each afternoon for arrival the following morning and will call at intermediate centres along the way.</p> <p>The trains will run between Freight Australia’s Melbourne terminal at Dynon and the Cooks River rail terminal in Sydney.</p> <p>Freight Australia CEO Marinus van Onselen said the service will "give the market place a serious rail alternative on the tracks between our two largest cities". </p> <br />
